      You will need another copy of that ACT_b_primary or what ever it is called. Set it to pick up the new template within the homepage section properties.. Flash exports HTML.. copy that into the correct place in template. Remember to put flash file into the preview html and in to root (or whever home page is)

        Thanks for your reply, its a bit more involved than I thought and even if I chose an ordinary image I think I would still have to fiddle about to get it positioned.

            Almost there........

            Hi,

            I managed to copy and paste the flash code into act_brochureprimary and after playing a game of 'hit and miss' with the position of the object I got it right.

            An offline preview worked perfectly but after udating the site the browser does not pick up the .swf file, its looking for it but cannot find it.

            I copied the html and swf files into my site 1 folder.

            Any ideas

            Mick
            Kind regards,

              right click on your little red cross where the image should be, properties, check the path name.

              is that where your image is?

                Thats the first thing I looked for but its not there, the browser just hangs on loading the page.
                If I right click in the swf area I get 'Movie not loaded', so at least it is looking for a swf file. Im going to check all the code again but I think I should load the swf file to somewhere else within the site 1 folder ?

                Regards

                  Ok, I went to my homepage and used the browser to download it to my desktop, then opened with an html editor and found this :

                  <OBJECT id=logo
                  codeBase=http://active.macromedia.com/flash4/cabs/swflash.cab#version=4,0,0,0
                  height=91 width=600
                  classid=clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000><PARAM NAME="movie" VALUE="logo.swf"><PARAM NAME="loop" VALUE="false"><PARAM NAME="menu" VALUE="false"><PARAM NAME="quality" VALUE="high"><PARAM NAME="bgcolor" VALUE="#FFFFFF">
                  <embed name="logo" src="logo.swf" loop="false" menu="false"
                  quality="high" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" width="600" height="91"
                  type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
                  pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"></embed></OBJECT>

                  Can anyone spot the error ?

                  Mick

                  p.s. Ignore the smiley, the forum software has done this.

                  Made me laugh though.
                  Kind regards,

                  Michael

                      No all I did was paste the code into act_brochureprimary and placed the swf and html files straight into the site 1 folder.

                        Try putting a copy of the swf into the previewhtml as well, within site1.

                          The offline preview is working so I assume there's no copy of the flash file on your web site.

                          Try uploading the flash file manually to the root directory of your web site. that should fix it.

                            Tried that and no luck.

                            Will keep trying until I fall asleep.
