Shipping & Handling templates

Hi,
I'm trying to loacte the template so i can change the first and second checkout pages that contain the drop downs for 'select shipping destination' and 'shipping class of service' respectively so tyhat i may set the drop downs to a default value.

How can i do this ? It's proving harder than i expected.

'select shipping destination'

This is in 'Design | Text | Web Site | HTML'. A guide to the exact prompts you need is on p125 of the latest Advanced User Guide. I'm not sure there is going to be any way to set one particular country as the default though.

'shipping class of service'

Check out this knowledge base article as this tells you how to order the shipping classes via an alternative method - e.g. alphabetically.

Thanks for the reply - I worked round it by editing Act_LocationSelectTemplate.

I removed the NETQUOTEVAR that related to the dropdown and replaced it with hard coded text and a hidden field set to the value of 'UK' - worked a treat.

I would suggest a feature that could set a default value for drop downs etc. ?
