acatlog/index page

Hi I hope somebody can point me in the right direction.

What I am trying to achieve on the acatlog/index page is a layout that will give me 4 columns and 3 rows, as I intend to show my sections by using small images to link. The standard template shows them vertically down the page and they look a little lost.

I know it can be done as I have seen a number of sites such as example

I have looked at Norman's excellent script for product pages/columns but cannot find anything for the index.

You can set up the number of columns to display in the top level section in design options.

Go to view/design options and take a look at the sections tab, the last section is called 'Location and arrangement of top level section list', I think that if you tick 'Images only' and set the column counts to 4 you should have what you need.
