I want to build an add-on web interface for a user to send emails to shoppers from the web server.

So, I was wondering about the databases. Are the databases on the web server (remote) and the local computer identical when everything has been downloaded? Basically, does the remote database get deleted each time orders are downloaded or are they kept in sync?

Actinic generates the pages and scripts using an access database from your pc. There is no database on the server. The stock details are only as good as your last download of orders, when it adjusts the levels.
