Is there a way to globally change the font size to arial, 10 ponts?

if you are using a css theme then yes, edit actinic.css
if you are non css then you have to edit every template that has a font tag in it -

This leads to the simple question - can I do a global search and replace so that every instance of the default font/size is replaced by an arial/10 for example?
If so, what am I looking for?Comment

there is a netquotevar you can use to set the font family - design|options|defaults
otherwise the font is set by catalog as +1, +2 , -1 etc.
Work through the templates changing as necessary
what theme are you using are you sure it is not a css one?Comment
