Design on one machine - Catalog on another

Hi,

My client wishes to update his database of products himself, but I need to be able to continue to do development on my machine, e.g. adding World Pay etc.

Is this possible by using export/import/snapshot etc?

Yes. Install Actinic on the customer's machine, but do not give them the ability to upload.

They can biuld Actinic on their machine and then just use 'File | Export' to export the structure of the store in a format that can be imported into your working store.

Make sure that any images they use are copied into 'Site1' or into a subfolder within 'Site1' (e.g. 'images'). That way, when you import the products onto your machine, all the image paths look like 'images\image.gif' rather than 'C:\My Pictures\12_03_04\store\image.gif'.
