Price Break work around

Is there a price break workaround for std actinic via a bit of code or something?

I need to offer price breaks based on qyts to all , without all the the plug in options

This works pretty well (but will not debit stock levels correctly):

1) Create a product.

2) Create a component within the product called 'Selection'.

3) Create an attribute within the component called 'Quantity Required'.

4) Create choices within the attribute called '1', '2', '3', '4' etc.

5) Go into the 'Selection' component and switch to the 'Permutations' tab.

6) Click 'Fill List' and enter an appropriate cost in the 'Price' column of each quantity of products that the customer can buy.
