    shipping and handling

Folks my company has a free delivery policy so I've disabled the shipping & Handling facility.

I have now advertised a product that requires £11.00 delivery surcharge and I dont know how to add this to the price in the checkout.

currentlyI have added a component called 'delivery' to the item but this has to be reduced as VAT is calculated on it

I need to do this but have a flat rate that has not vat added to it for accounting purposes can anyone help???

call 0800 027 2131 and ask for Kev if a call is easier than a reply email

    many thanks

You need to create a product called 'Shipping Charge' somewhere in your store. Make sure that the 'Tax Treatment' of this product is 'Zero-Rated' and the 'Hide on Web Site' check box is ticked. The product will then not appear online.

Then go to your 'Delivery' component and associate it with the 'Shipping Charge' product in the store. Make sure that 'Use Associated Product Tax' is selected (you may need to select 'Component Is Separate Order Line' before you can do this).

That will make the 'Delivery' component zero-rated.
