changing to protx

can i run protx in test mode and worldpay live on my site simultanously or will it cause problems when my customers come to pay?

Hi Giles,

You can do this without problem (take a look at www.mole-end.biz if you like, I have worldpay and paypal). Basically add protx as a new PSP, configure it as required and then move it to the position you want it to appear in the payment methods list. You will then get a dropdown box on the payment page, the customer will choose worldpay or protx and go to the appropriate payment pages. Everything else will work as before. Give me a call if that is all gobbledegook.

If you run both of these ie worldpay live, and protx test....how are you going to tell your customers that protx is in test mode?

you may end up with some very confused customers, unless you plan to have protx in test for a matter of an hour or so, and decide to risk a couple of orders

You can still do it, just change the text for the protx test to something the customer won't choose.

i.e. you could call it 'Test only', or 'for office use only' or even 'Purple Dragon cardholders only'.
