From 6.1.3. Any possible problems I should know about before I begin? I've noticed a couple of threads to make me just a little `nervous`.

There is one definite issue with 6.1.4 and one possible one.
The definite issue is that if you use pop-up windows and you copy and paste a product with a pop-up window to another part of the store, Actinic will not automatically update the pop-up page filename with the new product reference. This just means you need to manually edit the pop-up page filename.
The other possible issue is that some people have had problems uploading their 6.1.4s to the web. This has not affected everyone - just certain sorts of connections. Our team is working to try and pin down the problem. We have found what looks like the issue - but it has been present in all versions of Actinic since v4 so there is no reason for 6.1.4 to start acting up.
Anyway, those are the only two problems. Balanced with this is a huge range of tweaks and fixes to help Actinic run better.

Hi George,
6.1.4 has caused all sorts of problems with my clients and so far cost me about 10 hours extra free work!!!
Unless you are desperate for the new functionality i would wait until the next release come out or you might find you will need to go through the pain of downgrading again...
Out of interest does anyone know when the next maintenance release is out?

It won't be out for a few months yet. You need to find a way to get 6.1.4 uploaded to the site.
Just to reiterate, as far as we can tell at the moment 6.1.4 did not introduce any new issue with uploading. Your client may just be struggling to refresh the site because they have not done a refresh before with such a large site.
One strategy which works for large sites is to select 'Hide on Web Site' for all sections in the store and then do the 'Web | Refresh Website'. This will upload all the perl, the images used in the design, the *.fil and the *.cat files - but not any of the section pages or product images.
Then un-hide one of the sections and upload it with 'Web | Update Website'. Then un-hide section by section and just use 'Web | Update Website' to add the new pages to the store until the entire store is back online.
