Advantages of CSS Layouts

Our site is run on what is a modified version of Actinic's "Business" layout. Our main site uses CSS for obvious reasons, so what I'm after is some advice regarding the advantages of using the CSS layouts rather than the ordinary HTML ones in Catalog.

Basically I just want advice on whether it's worth my while changing to one of the CSS layouts or just leaving it until the next major site update because it's working

CSS allows you to edit font styles and font sizes by editing the css file, rather than by manually changing all the font tags in all the templates.

That's the main advantage.
