    reinstalling catalog

My PC is about to be reformatted and i will need to reinstall Actinic and restore my site. I have Actinic v6.1.2 on cd and have upgraded to the 6.1.3 patch last year.
    I have taken:
a copy of the site1 folder,
a snapshot of the site and
a copy of the network settings and encryption keys.

If i re-install my 6.1.2 version from cd, can i just download the 6.1.3 patch and then restore from my saved snapshot?

The current downloadable upgrade is 6.1.4. If possible, I don't really want to complicate things with the newest patch at this point. If i can avoid this, where can i download the 6.1.3 patch from?

    Any advice much appreciated.

It does look like you should be fine if you follow your procedure above...the only thing sometimes that crops up is if you have saved your site1 etc onto a cd. When you copy from the cd to your new setup, some machines make all the files that were on the cd, 'Read Only'.

If this is the case, you need to go into each folder you have copied (after you have copied it onto your new machine), highlight all the files within each folder, right click, and choose properties, and then ensure the 'Read Only' box is unticked.

    hope this helps..

        Hi there

does the snapshot contain all the order information as well as the template changes
The snapshot contains the database, which contains all database, the act_ templates, perlscripts and various other files, (ie registry entries).

        Kind Regards
