Can A Component Have A Weight?

Hi

I have a lot of different components on a page in which you could choose up to 20 components or as little as 1.

However I would like a postage weight to be applied to each component as at the moment the postage is the same for the customer buying 1 component as the customer buying 20.

Any help would be great

You need to create a new product in your store for each component that is available. Give this product a weight and then select 'Hide on Web Site' in the 'General' tab in order to prevent this product appearing in its own right in the store.

You can then select this product in the 'Associated Product' field in the component - and the component will take the weight of the hidden associated product.
