Bouncing retail customers out of sections

I wish to have a link on my navigation bar to a section only to be viewed by certain logged in customers, bouncing other logged in customers out.

Is this possible???

Yes - instructions are in the Advanced User Guide on p62 headed 'Preventing Retail Customers from Entering Certain Sections in your Store' and 'Bouncing Unregistered Customers Out of Sections'.

'Bouncing Unregistered Customers Out of Sections', Does this not just bounce unregesered customers out as aposed to retail or other price range customers that have also logged in.

And the section 'Preventing Retail Customers from Entering Certain Sections in your Store' just removes the link from the main catalogue body where as I require the link to be a button on the navigation bar shown at all times.

Am I doing something wrong with these?

You are right - I had not clocked that you did not want to just bounce out all unregistered customers - that you only wanted certain registered customers to be able to view the section.

The bouncing is probably not going to be an option then - I would suggest just using the 'Product Visible' field in the 'Prices' tab of a product to only make the contents of the section visible to certain customer groups (price schedules).
