Viewing prices without purchasing for customer accounts

Hi all,
I need to show wholesale prices to customers using a "generic" login, without allowing them to purchase anything.

Customers that have "real" logins will be able to purchase using the wholesale price schedule.

Is there any way to disable purchasing for a certain account, while still allowing the prices to be viewed?

Just thought of a slightly clunky solution. Put a limit on the generic account of Maximum Order Value of £0.01 (see Buyers tab). Change the message that you get online if you exceed this limit (which any order will) to say something like "You cannot buy using this account".

I haven't tried it but I don't see what it shouldn't work.

Thanks Chris! That worked. I also added a dummy product with text at the start of the catalog (only visible to wholesale) to remind them not to try to purchase products using the "view only" account.
