Displaying same product in more than one section

Is it possible to show the same product in more than one section? And if so, how do you avoid it appearing multiple times in search?

Sorry if there's an obvious answer, I've trawled through this forum and haven't found the answer yet.

You can sipmly copy and paste the product to other places (giving it a new referenc number each time). You'll have to remember to change all the occurrences if you alter a price, etc.

However see www.mole-end.biz where Jan, a major contributor to these Forums, has written a Product Replicator add-on that removes these limitations.

Thanks Norman. That was the solution I had come to. Problem is it messes up stock and you get multiple items appearing in searches. It seems like such a basic requirement. I guess actinic wont include it while there are partners developing bolt on solutions.

I think what you may be looking for is described in the Advanced User Guide section "Inserting the Same Product Multiple Times".
