    Developer to catalog errors on upload

    Hi all,

    Just wanted to point out something that happend twice on 2 different sites.

    When I develop the site with developer do a snapshot and then load it on a customer computer, the first upload he/she makes of the site on the live server, with her catalog verion causes the site and the catalog to stop working properly. I think it causes some file permissions to be set wrongly or don't upload all the files properly.

    The site worked fine until this morning and her first upload. The same problem happend a couple of weeks ago with my first site.

    Is there a setting that I could have overlooked that causes this? or is this a known issue. What is the best and easiest way to fix this.

    Make sure you do a 'Web | Refresh Website' when you upload from a different machine as there will be files on the server that the Catalog installation does not know anything about - and so gets confused about.

    Other than that, it could be that the machine you are transferring the snapshot onto is using firewall software of some kind which is interfering with communications.
