'Site files have been manually altered and site must be refreshed' on every upload

    Hi all,

Having a problem with an installation where every time I 'update' the site, Actinic seems to think that it needs to do a web refresh. Obviously this is quite annoying when developing the site and I was wondering if anyone had come across this problem before and knew of possible causes / solutions.

I haven't altered any files except template files. The client is using Catalog LE (6.1.4).

    Thanks in Advance

And to clear-up, the actual error message I'm getting is:
'Some of the files on the server appear to have changed since Actinic last uploaded them. <snip>'

It specifically mentions the files 'oldaccount.fil' 'oldaddress.fil' oldbuyer.fil'

These files do not exist locally.

Perhaps it's worth mentioning that this site was imported from a snapshot.

I have already tried deleting all Actinic files from the server and doing a web refresh - this had no effect.

I'm also getting an error when downloading orders (Worldpay) :
The Payment Service Provider Authorisation downloaded for order number '....' had an invalid signature.

I've checked the key in Actinic against the one my client has given me and it appears to be OK (I've re-entered it). And am still getting the error.

Just spoken to my client and he had the error before I touched the thing too. He's going to ask Worldpay for a new secret key to see if that helps.

I'm just wondering if it's possibly related.

Actinic FTPs in as the same user the files are owned by and permissions all look fine. I did try upping permissions on all files to 666 (owner, group and other users can read and write) but this didn't appear to help.

After noticing some threads mentioning date/time differences between the server and client I've checked these and they appear to be the same.

Deleting all *.cat files in the site directory on the client then doing a web refresh doesn't help either.

My client checked with Worldpay and has mis-copied one of the characters in the secret key. This has solved the problem with PSP invalid singature error.

The original problem with the .fil files still remains.

Try also removing all *.fil files and *.cat files from the 'Site1' folder on your local PC and then doing the 'Web | Refresh Website'. This works for me when I get the error.
