Data truncated error

Hi,

I have actinic link running to an external database, the plu is a text field. The link works fine however when in actininc and pressing F5 to refresh the data it comes up with an error saying data truncated.

I heard something about 256 charachters but not sure of the context.

Does any one have any ideas.

Price field

I have just found out that it is to do with the link between the price field in actinic link and the price field in my external access database. I have tried various formats but none of them have worked?

Any ideas?

right I think I have figures it out what I need to do is write an access query which will convert the price fieild into a number field.

Does anyone know how to do this??

Can't you just go into the 'Design' view of the table in Access and change the 'Type' for the field to 'Number'?

Remember that the price needs to be in pence - i.e. with no decimal places. If you are asking for a field to do that this is in this knowledge base article.
