Price Schedule Specific Message

Getting close to final layouts on our first time store. Developer is wonderful and easier to configure than I had thought it would be!

What I want to do is have a customer/price schedule specific message load on the Catalog Home Page after the customer logs in, or is a non-registered shopper.

We are "hiding" a large number of products depending on the customer/price schedule type and I would like to have a special, maybe even pop-up, welcome message customized for that customer/price schedule type, but AFTER login...

Any way to do this in V6?

Is anybody able to give me a hand with this? I am not sure if V6 supports this functionality or not...
