Optimzing site for Search Engines

Hello

I have read the threads regarding search engine optimisation and made some changes. I have created a new custim property specific to my site and ameneded my sections with customvar:title I am unclear how to make the title read to specific wording - do I add those words in the "value" on the properties tab? I am obvisously very new to this and need some specific help.

Could someone take a look at the site and see if I have done what is needed for the SE's to pick the site up? is there anything else I can do?

Also if there are any huge erros that you see I would really appreciate the help.

do I add those words in the "value" on the properties tab?

Yes. Enter the search keywords into the 'Value' field in the grid.

Also, go to 'Design | Options | Layouts' and click 'Edit' next to the 'Default Overall Layout' field.

Find where it says

   <TITLE>
   NETQUOTEVAR:PAGETITLE NETQUOTEVAR:PAGEHEADER
   </TITLE>

and replace this with

   <TITLE>
   CUSTOMVAR:TITLE
   </TITLE>

Save your changes and then preview to see the effect.

Thank you for your response. I followed your directions. Do I click the CUSTOMVAR box from the properties tab? What about that seach - do I click that? I saved my changes but I am not quite sure what the changes should look like. Will see my keywords somewhere? Where do I look? I am sorry to be so dense...need to get over the learning curve hump.

Do you mean 'Use as CUSTOMVAR'? The answer is yes.

What about that seach - do I click that?

You don't need to click this.
