end of year archive

Has any one worked out a way to archive end of year data. Ideally i would like to have all orders from April 03 to March 04 held somewhere outside of the current database for reference.

The only way I can come up with is just to take a complete copy of actinic.mdb and store it away.

Hi Jo,

You could use my export report batch order processor to select all orders in the last year and produce PDF or RTF data entry reports for them, if you also select the mark for deletion option in there you can get them ready for removal from Actinic as well. The benefit of archiving them to RTF format is that you can stick them onto a CD and still search using a text search in explorer to find the order details, the filenames are also <ORDERNUMBER>.[RFT/PDF] which also gives a quick and easy method.

We also have plans to add an archive orders feature to our One Stop Order Processing product - this is a long way off though yet.
