Changing a text box to a check box in the check out section

We are setting up an option in the Payment Method section which basically requires the customer to confirm they agree with the terms and conditions of sale. We have set this option up but it appears as a text field as apposed to a check box. Is there anyway to amend this or does the Business package have this option already installed somewhere that I can't find.
