Multiple Shops

Is it possible to have more than one shop in Actinic, my thoughts are to have various related shops. If I recall correctly someone mentioned a while back that you could have different Act_primary files for each one.

Has anybody done this and know if it's possible ?

Yes, you can have more than one shop in actinic but you need a seperate license key for each one.

You'll then have a seperate site folder and database for each one, allowing you to operate them completely independently.

if you choose the route of different act_primaries bear in mind that you will still have one checkout and you will have to customise your navigation so that customers don't stray beyond one shop

you can see a diiferent act-primary working at www.surf-wax.co.uk , the "inthewaterclthing company" has pages which match the suppliers corporate id. However this was done for corporate branding reasons rather than separate shop reasons. The nav still is shop wide
