    Columns in Section List

I have selected to use 4 x 4 columns in my default location & Arrangement of section lists (images only) but on sub-sections would like to have 3 x 3 columns.

Which is the template that I need to edit/copy and use to do this, I have looked at act_productbody but cannot see where you can change to select the 3 x 3 I would like (cannot even see where the 4 x 4 are located) is thsi the correct template that I should be editing or is there another one.

    Thanks in advance

    Brian

See Design / Options / Sections for the location of the column counts. You have quite a lot of control there.

        Hi Norman

Sorry for the delay, I think I have investigated all the permutations in design/options but to no avail, what I am after is -

        Main section

        1 2 3
        4 5 6
        7 8 9

        and on sub sections

        1 2 3 4
        6 6 7 8
        9 a b c

I am only using images for the links and do not use the paernt section text links.

        Regards
        Brian

The easiest way to do it depending on how many sections / subsections you have is to set either the default settings to 3 columns then over-ride the default for the subsections to 4 columns in the layout section of each subsection, or you can do it the other way round - i.e. set the default to 4 and over-ride the main sections to use 3 columns.

Again, this isn't done by editing templates. Double-click a section (when looking at the Catalog tab, product / section display) then go to Layout (click Advanced if you don't see a Layout tab).

If you check "Override Default Sections" you can now choose the number of columns for any sub-sections.
