Sample Product

I am building a site for a Corporate / Promotional Item store and one of the requirements that I can't quite get my head around yet is the need for the shopper to be able to tick a box against a product to say that they want a free sample.

So the products might be t-shirts, clocks, pens etc and a client might want a single pen to see the quality etc.

If sample box ticked then add to cart with price zero.

The back-end processing of the orders is done manually anyway so I don't need to worry about payment.

Help appreciated.

Not so easy, but you could do it by creating one line independent one line sample products that you place below the main one. i.e.

Create a sample product (call it "free sample XYZ") for each main item that has a sample, give it a zero price, and then create a simple one line product template for the sample products.
