    Cart contents on product page

Until recently it was all working fine.... Running Business 6.1.4.0.0.0.DNNA

The cart contents (Items and value) were showing up on the product pages.

Now they show up on the 'view basket' page, but not on the main shopping pages.

I've checked and searched these forums and te only relevant thing I can find is something about time difference on the server and the client.

I've checked this and the server is about 8 minutes slower than the client. I've set the client time to the same as the servers and also behind the server, nothing makes a difference....

    Site is here

    Any help would be great....

    Hi

I've just looked at your site and it appears to work fine. The cart summary appears on all pages.

Perhaps the settings on the PC you are using to browse the site are blocking javascript from working (?)

      That's very interesting....

I've tried it on three pcs here, only one works....

The only difference seems to be the version of IE:

      IE 5.00.3700.1000 - works
      IE 6.0.2800.1106 - fails
      FireFox - works
      Mozilla - works
      Opera - works

(Works = items/value show correctly on product pages)
(Fails = items/value show as zero on product pages)

Both show correctly on the 'view cart page'.

Surely if it was a javascript problem, then the totals would also be incorrect on the view-cart page ?

What version of IE are you using....?

Using IE 6.0.2800.1106 - works fine.

Check your security settings in IE. Maybe javascript is being blocked there.

Or maybe your firewall is blocking javascript.

Given that this works fine - any other suggestions ?

Thanks for your help on this.

Well the cure seems to be:

            1) Refresh site

            2) Clear sessions

            Result all back to normal.

Howver, given that for all clients where the problem showed up all browsers worked fine *except* IE. It indicates that there is an issue here somewhere.

Mind you, how come when a bug in IE is found everyone has to work around it ? Why can't M$ just fix it !
