    Two simple shipping rates

I want to have *two* flat rate simple shipping rates, e.g. £1.00 for UK orders and £1.50 for overseas orders. (Irrespective of the number of products or weight on the order)

But simple shipping only allows one rate. Is there a way around this?

    Thanks

Rod - you need to set up shipping zones 1 for UK and 1 for everywhere else - then enter the appropriate amount for each zone - this should do it.

Yes... indeed... but that's the problem.

If the calculation basis is set to "Simple", then it allows a single fixed charge of, say, £1.50

But if it is set to, say total quantity, and shipping zones used, then there is nowhere to enter a fixed shipping charge.... only a
      a. "free over"
      b. "if shipping band not defined" "use a default charge

if b. is changed in one zone... then it applies to the other zone too.

Theoretically, I could enter a quantity of 1 and a charge of £1.00
quantity of 2, charge of £1.00, or even a quanity of 100 and a charge of £1.00.... but we would never know the quantity of items that people are going to order

There doesn't appear to be a separate
      1. Flat rate setting for UK Zone
      and
      2. Flat rate setting for other zones

        See what you mean.

How about doing it on Total Value.

Enter a silly total value say £100,000 and give it a rate of £1.00 for UK and £1.50 for everywhere else.

        Would this work for you?

Rod, Hi. I have a client who charges free shipping i.e. £0.0 in the UK, and £15 elsewhere.

So, in Business Settings, under Shipping Bands, defining by zones, you enter £0.0 (or, whatever) for the UK as a Standard Charge, and for North America (and subsequent countries) enter £15.00 etc.

          Hope this helps - James
