    Can I do these -

    I am currently using the evaluation version of Catalog, and am sure the authorisation for its full purchase will be approved after my recommendations.

    I would like to find out how to:

    1 - Change the order numbers. I want them to pick up from our current system on changeover.

    2 - Have more than one mandatory question for some of the items.

    3 - Remove/change the 2 questions under "General Information" near the end of the transaction process.

    I am very impressed with this product, well done to all the team.

      Actinic order numbers look something like this:

      CIPOSTXXXXXXXX

      where
      CI=Customers Initials
      POST = last 4 digits of postcode
      XXXXXXX=8 digit order number

      If all you want to do is change the numerical starting point then that can be done. If you want to change the whole structure then it's more complicated and needs some programming.

        Thank you. It is just the order numerical number I want to change. Where do I go to do that please?

          You just need to enter the starting order number in help>troubleshooting.

          PS. I believe the first order will have the number you entered plus one. So you should probably enter the number you want them to start at -1. You might want to trial this to check.

            I have to admit

            the order number seems a bit odd to me, it would be better if it used the first 4 digits of the postcode, then the address is searchable.

            we use postcodes for all our customers because most do not remember there customer number. the first for digits would also identiy where they are in the country.

            just my addition to the thread

            I think the only place to change the order number is in the os00000 perl script

            but i stand to be corrected

            Cheers
