Having two Other Info prompts

I have read the section on page 70 of the Advanced Guide for Catalog referring to having 2 mandatory info prompts for selected products. Am I correct in assuming that the code needs to be duplicated for each product reference?

That patch test for a particular product reference. It would be possible to amend it to check for (say) a product reference with a particular prefix instead. So products OO-1234 could have 2 prompts and any reference other than OO-nnnn would be the usual single prompt.
