    Actinic on 2 machines

    Hi everyone --

I think I made a big mess. I wanted to have Actinic on 2 machines -- mine, where I do development, and another office staffers, where she downloads orders. Through a whole bunch of poor planning and misguided poking around on my part, I have downloaded 5 orders where I've lost their credit cards, I continually get download errors (accessing past end of order, order missing pieces due to encryption errors) and now I can't even place an order anymore on my website (it won't take my credit card, I'm using Actinic Shared SSL).

Perhaps best thing to do is start over? How should I have approached using Actinic on 2 machines? And how can I figure out my current ordering problems?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I'm able to place orders again. I still would like advice on how to properly set up Actinic so I can download orders on one machine and do configuration on another.

Also, if anyone knows any tricks for getting credit card numbres back after an order has been marcked "completed" I'd forever be in your debt!

I don't think that the credit card details get deleted, try printing a data entry report (you might need to enable data entry reports in business settings/orders) that contains the details. If they are not shown there then it is very unlikely that they are on the database anymore. They should also be shown in the payment details page for the order but will only appear when the payment type is a credit cardy one, so if it isn't try changing it to send credit card details separately, credit card or a PSP and see if they appear again.

Thanks for the info about credit card numbers. They are indeed gone. Oh well, time to write my customers...

I have gotten a solution for the 2 machine setup, so I'm all set for now.

        Thanks again -- Jen
