when you order a product on my site... the first 'checkout' page ask for quantity, country, state, and zip ( I put in usa, new york, 11211) ...second page is a quick preview showing product, price, AND shipping that is automactically ups 3day. then it continues to the third page - a secure page that shows me the product with quantity, price adds colorado sales tax and has no opts for shipping or a shipping price.

my company is based in colorado- however should only charge tax in the state of colorado.

Why am i losing my shipping on the third page of checkout?
How do I get the shipping opts on the first page for my customers?
Why is it adding tax to states other then colorado?

Where in the checkout does it ask for 'Quantity'? That is sorted out in the shopping cart rather than the checkout.

Could you show us a URL as that might help see what the issue is.

To charge tax only in your state you need to:

1) Go to 'Business Settings | Tax'.

2) Switch to 'Advanced'

3) Remove any tax zones that are there (other than 'No Tax Levied' - you need that one).

4) Click 'Add Zone' and create one called 'Colorado'. Use the list at the right to select 'Colorado' and add it to the list.

5) Click 'OK' and ensure that you have chosen to charge sales tax in your 'Colorado' tax zone. This is done at the bottom left of the tab.

6) Click 'OK' and Actinic will tell you that it is adding all other states into the 'No Tax Levied' zone. This is fine.
