Second User on network to run Actinic on second computer

    Hi

Is it possible to have a second user on network to run Actinic on second computer

    Cheers

No it isn't, Actinic only works on a single computer. The exception to this is if you want to design on one machine and process orders on the other in which case you can use two machines.

We are working on a product to allow multiuser access for order processing. Should go into alpha test fairly soon.

So how would that be achieved? Could you describe the setup ? Are we talking 2 workstations and a server, or a peer-to-peer jobby?

It works with Actinic on a set of PC's that are networked together. The remote apps access the Actinic PC over the network.

Yes but I have tried this and I can access Actinic, but it then tells me that the Site 1 folder will be over-written, which I really wouldn't want to happen as it would cause a lot of hassle!

It sounds like you are using catalog.exe if you are getting that error - you cannot access Actinic from two PC's at the same time using Catalog.exe.

We have our own program - One Stop Order Processing - that can do this. The multiuser version has not been released yet.

              Thanks for your replies.

How would I access Actinic from another PC accross a network?

I need to be able to access the full application and modify, create pages, etc. I am a web developer so do not need to touch orders, etc.

You can't do that as far as I know.
