Are my V4 « .rpt » files compatible with V5 files.
I did translated them (invoice and packing slip) in French ! It was quite a job ! I would prefer to copy them « over » V5 files...

If not, would somebody that did the V5 translation be kind enough to send me those files in French ?
I know, I asking a lot !

The V4 files are not compatible with V5, in V5 all of the text has been taken out of the report and moved into design text in the application.

You could use the V4 reports with V5 by using the set location option in the reports (on the main report and subreports) to point the tables to the V5 database - you will not have the changes made to the reports in V5 though.

There were changes made to the invoices/packing lists in V5 but I don't think that they were major - there were fairly significiant changes made between V5 and V6 though.

The good news is that if you move the prompts over to the new format (ie into the app) then they will be available for you iin V6. The translation job will be much easier as well because you just have to work through a list in the application and presumable you will have the text in on old reports.
