    Different pricing in actinic business

Can someone explain how the different pricing functionality of business works?

    1) Is it like a widget is displayed as £10 for joe public, but if a known customer logs in it is £9.00? and for another customer it might be £8.50?

    2) For these other customers does it just display as £9.00 or can it be configured to show the original price as well (so they can see how much they are saving)?

    3) Are they discounts set as % across the board, or can different price be set for different products? (ie. is it 10% off everything or can I do 10% of this and 5% of that?)

Yes mate, you assign a "price schedule" to the customer account in Actinic ...

The schedule has a default rule like multiply by 0.95 for example. Then within each product you can un-click the generated radio box to over-ride this calculation manually as desired. That adds a bit of work... For each client you can assign a different price schedule which shall appear in each product record as a new line, you may even apply quantity discounts here or disable purchase / view of product to users on certain price schedules...

When user logs on they see retail price and their price as set in customer record.

TIP - Look at the LINK product if you'll be using complex price models.
