Is it possible to have 3 search boxes instead of the usual 1 that actinic creates? I am needing 3 search boxes to search for LABELS / TRACK NAME / ARTIST NAME

You can do this with Actinic Business (though not with Catalog I think).

The instructions are in the catalog help section.

Mike is correct, searching using custom variable is only for Business and Developer I'm afraid
