Split Order and Catalog Synchronising Problem

I've chosen to split my Order Processing and Catalog Maintenance and the process has been running well except for 1 thing.

On the machine I use to maintain the catalog I set up all my shipping pricing bands and this works fine. When I download the orders onto the other machine the shipping rates that were calculated on the website are all present and correct.

However, if I open the order by double clicking on the order line actinic now refers to the shipping table on the order processing PC and overrights the order with the information from the order processing machine. This means I need to keep the shipping tables on the 2 PC's in sync which is a nightmare as we update our shipping rates quite frequently. The shipping table should really be turned off on the order processing PC or maybe downloaded in someway from a file on the website.

Has anyone else encountered this or come up with a workaround?

    Thanks a lot.

    Mark.

All depends how frequently you change the shipping rates. A simple scheduled batch file would workfine just to copy the shipping files over the network in windows, and you could set it to copy as frequently or infrequently as you like.

      Thanks Marci,

I looked at it but in the end I've just bit the bullet and manualy copied the settings across.
