Template selection

I've created a template 'Act_ProductLineCompact' in order to lay products in compact rows (see p.30 'Designing with Actinic Dev.').

On p.31, they say ''you can now select this template for any section ....'', my question is 'how do you select a template'?

Double click the Section in the Catalog Tree.

Open the advanced menu and use the layout tab.

To set a new default for the whole store go to
Design > Options > Layouts

You should put in into one of the places I have named above. The template will need to be in the Site1 folder of your PC

I've not been following this discussion but that look like a product template which means you have two ways of selecting it for the products.

Either;

1. for each product, select the general tag, click 'select' against the product layout and then click 'Browse' which will allow you to select the template you want.

or


2. double click the section, select the 'product' tab, and do the same as above. i.e. (click 'select' against the product layout and then click 'Browse' which will allow you to select the template you want.)

Note that you can make your new template appear as one of the template options. I think the details are in the AUG somewhere.
