V3 upload freeze.

Hi

I have been asked to re-install an Actinic System. I have set it up as a passive transfer etc and checked the domains etc are correct, but when it gets to creating directory structure the program hangs and the only way to stop it is through task manager.

I have left it over 12 hours to see it it was just being slow but no joy. I have seen a version of Actinic 6 running on one and one internet's shared hosting accounts without any probs.

Has anyone come accross this problem before?

It could be a permissions problem on the server.

Try manually creating the 'acatalog' folder online. If it there already (and you are using a Unix/Linux server) then you can use the CHMOD command to change the permissions on the 'acatalog' folder to '777'. In CuteFTP, you can do this with a right-click.

I'm running into the same problem. What does the permission need to be? Just write permission?

If so, is it possible to change it with IE as the ftp client? Or does my ISP admin need to do that?
