I am trying to link internal pages on my site using text links with HTML language, but every time my site is uploaded any changes I have made disappear. Can anyone help please?

I'm not sure how you're doing this but the place to make the HTML changes are in the templates not the HTML pages themselves.
Actinic creates the HTML pages from the templates and will overwrite any changes you make to the HTMl pages themselves.
