Work on one computer but errors on the new one

I am trying to upload actinic to a newer laptop running Windows98 SE.

The old laptop has the same Os and it works fine. It is running out of HD room and my client asked me to add Actinic to the new one.

I loaded the CD ver4 that they currently have on the old computer and zip disc the folder from Acitinic on the old computer.

The cart looks great when I tested network setup it gave me this error: The certificate authority is invalid or incorrect.

My ssl certificate is good till July and was working great on the old system.

    Any Ideas ?

Go to the web address you are trying to upload to from the new laptop. Do you get a 'Security Alert' box appearing?

If so, click 'View Certificate' and then 'Install Certificate'. Click 'Next>' and select 'Place all certificates in the following store'. Click 'Browse' and select 'Trusted Root Certification Authorities'.

Click 'OK', then 'Next>' then 'Finish'. Click 'Yes' on the 'Security Warning' box that then appears.

If you don't get a 'Security Alert' box appearing then we'll need to do further research. Please post your URL.

SSL is under https://www.1to1chiropractic.com . It comes up fine with no errors.

      What's next?

When you browse to https://www.1to1chiropractic.com What happens if you click on the Golden padlock t o display the certificate, does it say the CA authority is invalid there?

No problems are showing up. Try it for yourself.

We are out of ideas here I'm afraid as Actinic always uses the default IE settings.

Check the 'Test' on the old PC. If you get the error, then it is a problem with the 'Test' rather than your certificate and you can upload safely from the new machine.

I don't know if this is of help, but I have had the same problem.

I have set up SSL on the server, but we haven't go the certificate yet.

I had problems with "Test" but tried an upload anyway and everything seemed to work fine.

              Give it a try?!?

              Cheers
