upload problem - 200 tape is now 8 bit binary

    Hi

I've got a client who receives the below message when trying to upload - has anyone come across it before?
    ________________________________________________
200 tape is now 8 bit binary
    200 port command successful
    425 could not open dats
connection to port 5004: connection timed out

an error occurrred while writing to "acatalog" a website. the problem is probably due to permissions problems, but could be due to lowdisk space.
actinic ecommerce can work with these settings. press cancel if you would like to manually examine the permission and disk space on the web. press retry if you would like to actinic ecommerce to attempt to change the permissions in the directory for you.

The client goes on to say:
WHEN WE PRESS CANCEL IT DOES FINISH THE LOAD UP VERY
    VERY SLOW.

The server is Red Hat Linux BTW

    Many thanks

    Gerard

I think you'll have to get someone to look at the server for you. Register an email support question at http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm

You could also try Advanced / Network Setup / Test and see what the diagnostic messages are.
