Links page query

Evening all,
my second thread so bear with me please!
Trying to build a links page for relevant links to resources/manufacturers etc and I can't seem to get my head round how to add the relevant clickable link with V6?
There will eventually be a large number and I would also like the ability to add a comment to the links?
Ideally I would like the link to just say where it's going to take them, rather than the full url?
I have found the embedded html section in the help index as mentioned in an earlier thread by NickD, but I don't seem to be able to get the same results he has on his site (Nick's using frames, I'm not).
Can I use the same html format for the links pages as I've used for the signature below?

disregard the above post, five minutes of fiddling and it now works fine
