New Problem! Minor maybe?

Back again,
re my earlier post, how do I make external links open in a new window (or tab, if using Nutscrape/Mozilla)?
The link html I'm using is as follows:
!!<<A HREF="http://www.AMD.com">AMD website</A>>!!
To make matters worse, I want the new window not to open full size, so the user can see that they haven't left the site.

Got that Chris.
Thanks to NickD who originally asked the question, and to GaryHay and Kerrie in other business as the total value of the answer came from posts for all three.
The link I put in to NickD's RFI on firewalls didn't come through - I couldn't find how to enable html in the post (it was set to off?)
Have the links set up on the site now - just loads to add!!
