    Limiting Products and Navigation

    Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with a little niggle I have with Actinic 6, with limiting the products in each section.

If you have a look at: http://www.jamm.uk.com and click on girls tops, you will see that there is going to be 20 products in each section, this works fine. It's only when you click in departments which takes you back to /acatalog/index.html where this new section now appears.

My question is, is there a way to not have this "more" section appear on the /acatalog/index.html page?

    Hope that makes sense.

    Thank you.

This link is controlled by the 'Parent Section Links' area in 'Design | Options | Sections' so you could remove the link there.

Removing a section from a section list is tricky as Actinic always detects it and includes it in the list - even when you use a section link template with nothing in it.

Are you using the 'NETQUOTEVAR:NEXT_SECTION_URL' and 'NETQUOTEVAR:PREV_SECTION_URL' variables for the links to the next sections? If you aren't, and you are using hard-coded links, then you could make the 'More Girls Tops' section a sub-section within the 'Girls Tops' section. Then edit the settings within the 'Girls Tops' section in the 'Layout' tab to not show a sub-section list.

Thanks for the reply. I did try and have the 'more girls tops' a sub section like you recommended, but I am already using sub sections to view products as thumbnails.

Next best thing was to just remove reference to the acatalog/index.html page, so that's just what I did.

      Thanks for that.

Oh, one other thing, see with the example sites that are on www.actinic.co.uk, how are these decided? Can I ask nicely for our site to be added?

      Cheers,

Drop an email to our Marketing Manager Bruce Townsend at btownsend at actinic.co.uk. I understand he accepts bribes ...
