Vouchers

Is there any chance of implementing Voucher sales??? I was under the impression that this was coming on Version 7; instead we have coupons (discounts but only on a single code).

Voucher sales would need to generate a unique number for the customer and when entered the discount value as related would come off the total order, like with coupons. Any chance???

Other than that Version 7 is fantastic! Only a couple of minor issues that have been dealt with via t/s.

We did look at doing vouchers for v7 but found the technology required was... imposing. The issue is that vouchers act like currency - i.e. they are a way that you can pay for the order.
Therefore there are fairly huge amounts of security and fraud issues you have to address - as well as making the vouchers themselves work. In the end, we decided it was more important to get v7 out this century

We haven't forgotten vouchers and we will look at them again for a future release.

Just a small note regarding vouchers. I've been at loggerheads with a client stated that actinic offers vouchers however I know this is'nt the case. It's coupons. After being given this link to your site , the terminology used on the site has put me to shame =).

Hello, vouchers that can be used only once so that we can sell a voucher as gift/present is vital, i am sure many other users would rate this as a high value option for the next version of actinic.
In the meantime is there a company out there that has a plugin for a voucher system, not a loyalty card scheme.
Will vouchers be on the next main release?

I'm afraid a voucher system in the way you describe will not be in the next main release.
