    If i want my customers to log onto my site with their name and e-mail address how do I set this up? I have got the basic actinic do I need to upgrade?

    Basic (meaning Catalog) operated sites will not provide your customers with login abilities or discounted pricing etc, so you would need Business version to achieve that, which will then enable a username (as opposed to email address) and password login ability.

        Speak to your original Catalog supplier and see if they can offer you an upgrade option from Catalog Busines - might be worth it

          Do you want their email address for marketing later? You could find a Javascript that will do a pop-up when they leave the site....

            sorry you completely lost me, I just want to be able to send them information but have no way of utilising them to tell them about changes to my site, of which they are very frequent, I am always adding new card designs etc......

              OK, so you are after being able to mass email your customers on changes and that...

              Maybe you should look at: http://www.mole-end.biz/ which has add-ons that will serve your needs
