oldaccount.fil, oldaddress.fil and oldbuyer.fil again!

My client has a copy of Actinic Catalog which is still giving the error about oldaccount.fil, oldaddress.fil and oldbuyer.fil. I have been through the forum and think I have tried all the suggestions, but to no avail:

1. Remove the .fil files & refresh
2. Remove .fil on PC and Site & refresh
3. ditto .pl files
4. ditto .pm files
5. ditto .cat files
6. All the above
7. CHMOD 644
8. CHMOD 777
9. All the above again

Any more ideas - it just does not want to know!

Is the 'Merge' stage at the end of the upload completing correctly? This is the stage which adds the latest shipping.search data into the *.fil files on the web. If there is a problem with this stage, this could cause the error.
