    When customer clicks continue shopping

    Dear All

I currently have a problem that when a customer clicks continue shopping it show the following.

http://www.wazoola.co.uk/acatalog/ in the address bar and on the page "You are not authorized to view this page"

Would be grateful of some help.

Directory viewing is switched off with your hosting provider, so it will not list the files within the folder, which is the default action if no default filename is found within the folder like index.html etc.

Basically as you have no index.html or index.htm and nothing is set up to reflect a redirect or something else, the default forbidden message is being shown.

Ask you host to either assign an additional accepted filename.html or add an index.html maybe to your sites acatalog folder maybe, but that is the reason behind it, as no index.htm(l) exists in the acatalog folder.

    Hope it helps.

      Its strange

It seems fine on my other computer, I had this once before and had to change some html in my site folder so that it always default back to online catalog, but I can't remenber which file it was in site 1 folder?

        Session.pm

I seem to recall it was the session.pm file that gave me a default option would this be write. I would like the site to default to

        http://www.wazoola.co.uk/acatalog/our_range.html

        Any idea

I have to be honest and say that I do not know, but instead of playing with the scripts within Actinic, plus overcoming the fact that you do not have a default index.html file in the acatalog folder I would be inclined to try something like:

Create a totally blank and empty index.html within the acatalog folder

and then a .htaccess file within the acatalog folder containing :-

          redirect 301 /index.html http://www.wazoola.co.uk/acatalog/our_range.html

Which would cover it all really... just an idea..

I think the problem is that computers using Norton Internet Security get returned to http://www.wazoola.co.uk/acatalog/ after adding to cart etc. - rather than the last page they were on before going to the shopping cart.

This issue is addressed in 6.1.4 so I would suggest upgrading to that from http://www.actinicdownloads.com/v6/

              Chris

I assume its the patch that I would need to download?

              which I found at http://www.actinicdownloads.com/cgi/mail.pl

              is this correct?

                  Chris

I took your advise and tried to take a snapshot but for the last few times it tells me that the process was aborted, which means I am unable to take a snapshot.

I have searched the knowledge base but can't find any answers any pointers?

                  Cheers

I suggest you just copy your 'Site1' folder somewhere safe and also take a record of the details in 'Housekeeping | Security'. This is basically what a snapshot contains.

Once you have done this, you can install the patch.
