    Printer error

If I press print in reports, to print the packing list, invoice or credit card schedule and the printer is offline, i.e. not switched. I do not get a pop-up with the printer status as I do in other progs.

Catalog then marks the report as printed and the only way to print the report is to do a re-print.

Is this a fault/ommission with Catalog and if so has this been addressed with later versions. Currently using a fully patched v5.1.6.

I have just tried to reproduce what you did, i.e. printer off and print out a report, in this case re-print packinglists, and the dialog came up and disappeared like normally would happen, then my machine said it could not connect to the printer and there it was sat in the print que, so not sure why yours is not working as it works on this 5.1.6, sorry

Actinic only sets the printed status if it thinks that the report has been printed so I think that it is unlikely that there will be any difference in the later versions of Actinic.

Looks like it is a problem within XP. Just have to hope that it is cured when I get the chance of a re-install of the OS.

Roll back is not an option as it does not go back far enough to cure the problem.

          Thanks for your replies.
